The Diploma of Child Youth and Family Intervention is an excellent opportunity for eligible staff to gain a nationally recognised qualification related to child protection, family support and out-of-home-care. The Diploma is offered over 18 months. It is a pathway to the second year of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Behavioural Science or Social Science at selected universities.
The Diploma program consists of 7 clusters. Each cluster includes online learning and a facilitated workshop, varying in length from 3-8 days.
Each cluster has 4-6 assessment tasks. Some tasks need to be completed prior to attending the workshops, some during workshops, as well as post-workshop assignments, which will need to be done in your workplace or in your own time.
