This package provides applicant Foster Carers and newly approved carers with the learning necessary to prepare for fostering children and young people within the care of the Department for Child Protection and Family Support. Ideally all new applicants should attend face to face preparation training, either centrally, or via local district options. Enrolment into this programme is restricted and managed by the Foster Carer Learning team, on an as needed basis.
